Club Road Race Championship Standings 2011

After an eventful season the men’s and ladies’ Club Road Race Championship titles have been settled. Despite a close–fought battle with Graham Wiggins, John Peake has prevailed this season to take both the overall and veteran men’s titles. Telling Jason (The Pretender) Cooke failed to deliver on his promise at last year’s awards ceremony and Paul Jégou failed to retain the overall title owing to injury. John is understandably (– and somewhat annoyingly) full of himself! Come on you young guns!
In the ladies’ title race Jan McCabe stamped her authority on the Road Race Championship with a string of early results that no other lady was able to claw back. In doing so Jan retains both the overall and veteran ladies’ titles she first won last year.

That wraps up the Club Road Race Championship series for another season. We hope everyone has enjoyed the events in the championship calendar this season. We look forward to seeing you all out competing again next season ... and don’t forget there’s the cross country to keep everyone on their toes in the meantime. Green Army!
