Club Cross Country Championship Races 2008/9

Below is the full fixture list of the races for the 2008/9 cross country season and comprises of all of the races in both the Oxford Mail Cross Country League, the Wessex Cross Country League and the Chiltern Cross Country League as well as the Berks, Bucks & Oxon, the Oxfordshire County, the Southern and the National Cross Country Championships.
Please note that owing to late changes the Wessex Cross Country League fixture that will count towards the club cross country championships will now be the fixture at Kings Park, Bournemouth scheduled to take place on Sunday, 30 November and not the Salisbury fixture which now clashes with the Oxford Mail League fixture taking place on Sunday, 1 February 2009.
Please also note that the White Horse Harriers’ club cross country championship series comprises 11 races 8 of which will count towards each competitor’s final championship standing. The races which count towards the club championships standings are marked in bold below.

Oxford Mail Cross Country League
The Oxford Mail Cross Country League consists of five races, one on the first Sunday of each month between November and March. Races for the younger age groups are from 10:00am, followed by the women’s run (approx. 2.5 miles) usually at 11:10am. Men approx. 5 miles at 11:40am. Runners score for team points and the scores are cumulative over the season. Individual scores are also tallied and each runner must complete 4 races to count.
