Club Road Race Championship Races 2008

Following the completion of the Abingdon Marathon held last Sunday the club’s road race championships have drawn to a close after another eventful season. Overall, the turnout by our members has been generally good although we could do with some more ladies getting out and competing.

A real success of this season’s club championships has been the inclusion of the Mota–vation Series events which have seen strong attendences by our members. On the other hand it has been disappointing that our club championship calendar has once again been marred by the cancellation of some of the longer events. This something that will be taken into consideration when planning next season’s championship campaign.

This year’s club road race titles have been decided and the presentations will be made to the winners at the annual Autumn Social due to be held on Friday, 28 November at the Comrades Club on Newbury Street, Wantage. We look forward to seeing another good turnout by our members at the presentation ceremony on the evening.
