Club Road Race Championship Standings 2008
Last updated: Monday, 9 June, 2008After the fourth event of the club’s road race championships things are starting to hot up. The race was the next in the Thursday evening Mota-Vation Series organised by Kidlington Road Runners. A warm evening greeted the runners at Bletchingdon.
A field of 307 runners completed the course this year. The just over 4-mile race was won by Garrett Ash of OUCCC in a time of 21:37. Nikki Smith of Witney Road Runners was the first lady to cross the line in a time of 24:18 finishing in 28th place overall.
Paul Jégou led the Harrier contingent across the line finishing in 18th place in 23:35 just ahead of Jason Cooke (24th) in 24:01. Jason stretched his lead in this year’s championship. Claire Hazell took the honours for the ladies, finishing 195th in a time of 32:38, with Sarah Baker, our only other lady, finishing 229th in 34:47.
